We aim to…
Warn the community via social media of pending or on going major incidents that impact Menstrie.
Inform the community as a situation develops and recedes.
Assist emergency services and council staff where safe to do so and, when flooding is a concern, make flood protection equipment available for the community.
We will also ask the community for help when required.
MCRG was formed after the Menstrie Burn flooded in 2012 and consists of volunteers from the community with assistance from the Menstrie Community Council, Clackmannanshire Council, Ochil View Housing Association, Scottish Flood Forum and others.
